Dinner with Aunt Jenna

I just LOVE this picture! Such a sweet moment between my sis and Eli. Last night we met her for dinner and then we had a wax appointment with the best eyebrow girl out there! I feel so refreshed after an appointment with her!

According to the news we are getting a blizzard here? We shall see. They say not much snow, but lots of wind. Maybe a snow day for the hub!

Just A Plain Old Day

I have to include one pic of the little man for the grandparents. Last night he was trying to hold his own bottle!

We have been working on some sleeping bootcamp here! Elijah is doing fabulously and I wouldn't expect anything less. He is the best little boy around! Last week he started to turn a corner on sleeping longer at night, which messed his daytimes up! So Monday, I started keeping him awake more and putting him down at regular times for a nap. I knew when I started this that I was going to be home most of the week, which has made all of the difference. It is working like a charm. He has started to take great naps during the day and we have such a happy baby in the evenings when we are heading out places! Overall, we have such a great little boy, but he just needed a little help on how to settle down.

Here in Pa we are expecting some more snow so we are going out tonight!! I went out yesterday for the first time in four days, which was very nice. I need to stock up on some movies I think before this snow hits. I am feeling a little behind in my movie watching. So here's to another snow storm!

Weekend Review

This weekend we did a lot of watching this little guy! He is looking a little khaki in this picture, but in his defense he did have a sweater on and we took it off because he was too hot!
I wonder what is going on in his little brain right at this moment!

Here is a shot with the sweater. Daddy did a lot of holding this weekend. I had a CPR class on Saturday so Eli and Daddy had a date! They had a ton of fun and when I got home we ran and picked up our free Auntie Anne's. They were super yummy! Sunday Elijah was a cranky pants so we didn't do much of anything.

But this morning I woke up to a very happy baby! I LOVE this picture. He looks so big. I can't believe on Sunday he will be 3 months.
These every day moments have been flying by! I am working really hard on enjoying just everyday life and every moment of each day. Read this post Here.. it is very worth the read. It made me think and contemplate all the little things we do and don't really think about. I think that is one reason I have felt more compelled to write on the blog and journal every day. What type of legacy am I leaving. Enjoy your day of every day tasks today!

A Visit to Nana and Pappy's

Today was Snow Day #2 for K and so we hung out most of the day! Here is E sitting in his bumbo.
Tonight we went over to K's parents for dinner and a little visit. Here is Elijah with his Nana. He loved every minute of it!
We also wanted to see how much E weighs now so we put him on a chicken scale! He is now 11lbs. He is growing like a weed. He was at the drs. two weeks ago today and he was 9lbs 13oz. Crazy how fast these kids grow! He is such a happy baby that is super fun. We are thankful God blessed us with him.

Snowy Day

Yesterday, we had a little visit with Erika and Miss Adelaide. She is just so sweet and such a cutie!Elijah was trying to to hold her hand, but she wasn't so interested! HA... maybe someday!

Today, we have had blizzard like conditions all day. But finally it is starting to let up... so ventured out. Here is how much snow we have gotten. The snow is bigger than Elijah!

Here is what I found when I opened up our front door! I was standing in the snow and it was up to my thighs! This is crazy. Maybe another snow day for K tomorrow. All the other schools have already canceled for tomorrow.
I guess I can't use my barbecue anytime soon!! So here's to thoughts of Spring and I am off to make Valentine cookies!

Weekend Wrap-Up

This weekend started off with a snow storm that dumped over 15 inches on the Central Pa area. Some areas got up to 20 inches. It was crazy!! So needless to say we just hung out like this:
He was a trooper on the snowy day! He even feel asleep in the bumbo! We ventured over the Marcy's for dinner and it was fabulous. I should have taken some pics :(
Sunday we got called into work so we headed off to the Milt for most of Sunday. We got home right before the Superbowl was over. So here is a pic of father and son 1st Superbowl. We have had a lot of together time this weekend, which has been fun. Here's to another snow storm this week!

A Dinner Out

Last night K and I decided that we needed to go out for dinner. So Elijah had his first trip to Chilli's. It was uneventful and he did great! Everyone was commenting on how cute he is! We think so, but we are a little bias. Chilli's has changed their menu and I wasn't too happy, but it was so nice to go out to eat. It was nice to not have to cook after so many meals at home. We are such go out people that having him has made us stay home to ensure he did not pick anything up.

Update on the Great Shred: I am doing well with not eating a ton. I am still not back to the gym due to breastfeeding and that whole craziness. As soon as I am finished with that I will be hitting the Y hard and heavy! All of my clothes are starting to get too big so I think there are some pounds that are coming off, but I haven't weight myself in a couple of weeks. So as soon as I do I will share an update. I am finding out this is more of an emotional journey that anything else and God is revealing some amazing things in my life, which is transforming my eating and mindset. That's for another post....

Weekend and Begining of week

This Friday I found a great deal on a new stroller thanks to a friend who tipped me off! This Macleren was only $150! So here is E in his new stroller that was a total lifesaver this weekend working. The boys were great with him and all wanted to hold him or push him around. It was sweet. This is E with his 2nd cousin Bella holding him. He was happy most of the time, but I snapped the pic at a bad time. Becky K's cousin came for a visit and it was fun to have them over!

This is fresh from tonight! I love his little shirt it says "Made of Love" that is our little man. He so squishy and lovable.

This week has been pretty busy as we had another playdate today, but I forgot to take pics!! Tomorrow I have nothing on the agenda and that sounds great! I think Eli will need a little break after such a busy weekend. I do hope we get a lot of snow tonight ... so K won't have to go to work tomorrow, but doubtful!

2 months

My sweet boy is 2 months already! I can't believe how time has gone quickly. Here are a few facts about him:
- Wearing 3-6 month clothes
- Weights 9 lbs. and 13 oz. which puts him in the 25th and 10th percentiles. He has grown a lot since the beginning
- He can follow Mommy and Daddy's voices with his eyes
- He is holding his head up
- He is 22 1/4 inches long, but he is mostly body... poor kid he got my body type!
- His eyes are turning blue and I think he is going to look like his daddy
- Elijah is very snuggly and loves to be held, but is super good and content anywhere we take him!
- All in all he is a Blessing from God that has been the best thing that has happened to his momma and daddy
Here is a quick shot of us at the drs. yesterday! I was trying out the new headband, but once in the car it went by the wayside... He did great with his shots. No fever... he cried for about a half of second and then just chilled on the way home. He is such a good baby! He does have a innocent heart murmur that just showed up so hopefully this will heal on its own. The dr. did not seem very concerned. So here's off to a great weekend with the boys. We have missed them and they are super excited to play with Elijah!

A Little of This and a Little of That

Sunday we went down to my sister's Auntie Jenna's for dinner and some hang out time. She was gracious enough to watch E while we ran to Trader Joe's. Thanks Jen! Here is our latest family pic. Here is the Auntie holding her little nephew! He was so sweet for her.
He also started smiling for pics while we were there! Jenna got a great one on her camera and can't wait to get and print it out. The GREAT Shred has been put on hold for a little while. I am finally getting over the mastititst, but God has thrown some other emotional stuff into my journey that is taking first priority. So I am continuing to work on eating healthy, but no gym yet until the boobs have dried up! Weight Watchers will come soon also.

This morning asleep on our bed... he loves to sprawl out on our bed, but who doesn't!
A few from yesterday of him just chillin in his lamb seat and one of us last night just being funny!

Where are these days going?

These days with Elijah are just flying by! I was writing out bills yesterday... ah YUCK! and was like what day is it? I was talking on the phone to my sister at the same time and she was like Jan. 20th and I was like WHAT?? How did we get to the middle of Jan. already. My sweet boy is going to be 2 months next Thurs. Where has all this time gone and how did it go so fast. K and I were just talking the other night about how we know soon enough he will going off to Kindergarten in the 2015-2016 school year. Crazy to think about. I am sure by then there will be brothers and sisters to be worrying about and it won't be as hard! HA.. I am sure I will be a sappy first day of Kindergarten mom. I never saw myself this way, but like the song says A Baby Changes Everything!

Okay off of my soapbox/ sappy mommy moment, but the Great Shred has taken a back seat for a little while due to my clog! Which I am happy to report this morning it was the size of a M& M so we are seeing progress. Which is great news because that means we are getting closer to ending the whole feeding issue! PRAISE THE LORD!!! K has been awesome through this entire event. He has done everything from working full-time, giving private lessons, wash, cleaning bottles, cleaning out house, and making sure I feel loved. Thanks for all you do hub of the year!

This blog has proven to be a great journal and recorder of memories, which I am hoping to print out and keep for E man. Speaking of the little man he is down for a nap and I need a shower... so off I go!

Sick... sick.. and more sick!

I have been struggling the last couple of weeks with Mastitis, which for those of you who don't know what it is be glad!!! It is a bacterial infection in your boob! Which causes hard rocks anywhere in your boob. It is very painful and totally stinks. I have learned a few things from this couple of laid back weeks.
I need to be able to ask for help when I need it. That is something that is very hard for me to just let go and let others take control. My normal personality is that I feel bad when I ask others to do things for me, but I am slowly learning otherwise. To go along with that God is in control and that He is the only true healer!

Time lines are fine, but not always for getting better. I thought by now I would be back to normal activies and doing whatever I wanted. But that is not how it is. I have learned that my body will heal itself when it is ready. These are tough lessons to learn from a total type A person like myself. Of course I need to add a couple of pics of this cutie! This I took this morning. He is such a good sleeper and today is like none other. I think if I had any other baby these last couple of weeks would have been a disaster!!!

Here is a little bathtime fun from the other night. He is such a good baby he only cries when he gets in and then is totally fine. I don't like to be cold and think that is part of the problem when he first gets in!I have only been out of the house once in the last week and our friends came over on Friday night. Here is Francine holding him and he just loves her girls. The hat he is wearing their daughter knitted for him. So all in all I feel so blessed to have a great little boy I just hope and pray that my little issued would be healed so I can fully enjoy my family!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Our weekend was pretty busy for us! I feel like now my days and weeks are not busy with going places, but with spending time with this little man! Friday we dropped him off at Nanna and Pappy's for us to quickly run to Target and Old Navy. For all you moms out there Old Navy is having a fabulous sale right now. We got 7 outfits for $29.00! It was great. Thanks Nanna and Pappy for watching him.
I took this picture Friday morning to see how much he has grown. He has almost outgrown his NB pj's. He is getting so big so fast! Saturday we pretty much spent the daytime sleeping or organizing/cleaning our house! It looks great now. I will post some pics tomorrow about the organized nursery. Then we had a great date night to church and to see It's Complicated. Great flick totally recommend it! A local church here has church on Saturday nights so we got to go to church for the first time since he was born. They told us no church until spring :(
This picture is from today. K thought he could grab a pic with Elijah cuddling his lamb. He is starting to cuddle things and almost roll over. This kid is going to be on the move very soon. I think he is a little like his mama that way! Now we are just enjoying our Sunday night, but I am sad to have the hub go back to work. But this week is filled with playdates, lunches, and maybe even some shopping! I will update tomorrow with details on the Great Shred 2010!
